First Reserve Announces Three Senior Promotions
GREENWICH, Conn., HOUSTON and LONDON, Dec. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- First Reserve, a leading global private equity and infrastructure investment firm exclusively focused on energy, today announced the promotion of three senior investment professionals.

The promotions become effective as of January 1, 2017, and include:
- Matthew Raben, promoted to Managing Director. Since joining the firm in 2006, Matt has played an important role both for the Infrastructure Funds as well as the broader First Reserve organization. He has made significant contributions to structuring, due diligence review, negotiation of deal documentation and advising on legal issues. As a Managing Director, Matt will continue to focus on firm-wide legal related matters, with a particular focus on the Infrastructure Funds. Prior to joining First Reserve, Matt was a Corporate Associate with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. He holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from Stanford Law School. He is based in the Greenwich office.
- Tim Vincent, promoted to Managing Director. Since joining the firm in 2011, Tim has made significant contributions to the success of First Reserve's energy infrastructure program, with a key role in the Dublin Waste to Energy portfolio company and the evaluation and management of Capital Markets activities throughout the energy infrastructure portfolio. As a Managing Director, Tim will continue to focus on proactive capital markets opportunities and management on behalf of the Infrastructure funds' diverse portfolio. Prior to joining First Reserve, Tim was a Partner at Greentech Capital Advisors, a boutique investment bank focusing on the renewable energy and cleantech sectors. He holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is based in the Greenwich office.
- Tomas Peshkatari, promoted to Director. Since joining the firm in 2014, Tomas has been a key member of the portfolio company teams responsible for the Arrowhead, Los Ramones II and Mexico Clean Fuels Infrastructure investments. Tomas also has played an active role in junior talent sourcing and development efforts on behalf of the Firm. Prior to joining First Reserve, Tomas was a Vice President at The Carlyle Group, focusing on power and infrastructure transactions. He holds a B.A. from Macalester College and is based in the Greenwich office.
