The Early History of G2A
RZESZÓW, Poland, LONDON and HONG KONG, December 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
The CEO and co-founder of G2A.COM, Bartosz Skwarczek, recently spoke about the early history of G2A.COM which is said to be the world's fastest growing digital gaming marketplace. G2A has the Global Number One position of offering more than 25 thousand digital gaming products, has more than 5 million customers and welcomes 250 thousand new customers each month with 67 million desktop visits according to the Similarweb Report (2015).

G2A, started in 2010, combines gaming passion with entrepreneurial drive and employs passionate gamers with an average age of 23 years old.
The company's policy was to give the lowest prices with the lowest margins because young gamers did not have big budgets. Additionally, G2A wanted gamers to find everything under one roof rather than having to buy from different websites.
Bartosz wanted G2A to be an official reseller of Triple A Developers and he began approaching developers at various events such as Gamescom, E3, and G-Star, begging for an audience. Bartosz left letters on their doorsteps saying: 'Dear Triple A Developer, we are G2A, we would like to co-operate with you officially, we would like to sell your products as a reseller. Please meet with us'. There was never any response despite the fact that G2A was growing fast to become the biggest sellers of their products in Europe.
'Unfortunately, the developers did not want to talk to G2A. Maybe they felt that the company was too young to be of any interest or too small to be taken seriously,' added Bartosz. However the G2A team persisted and decided to create a marketplace for young gamers. They decided to re-define the company and to give a chance to all the gamers in the world who had the same level of frustration as they had about the cost of games. Furthermore, they invited sellers to place many games on their website. They took destiny into their own hands and created the G2A.COM Marketplace.
Bartosz said: 'I deeply believed that there would come a day when developers finally would like to have a meeting with G2A and that developers will finally come knocking on our doors saying: "Hello guys, how about a meeting"'. And eventually it happened. Bartosz and Dawid agree that happy customers create the G2A marketplace where now there are more than 140 thousand sellers and 99.4% positive feedback on eBay.
The founders of G2A expressed humble appreciation for G2A customers, supporters and partners saying: 'We want to say thanks to all of you, because somehow you saw us, somehow you liked us and gave us a chance to serve you. It's you who created G2A'.
