RideCell Hires Two Cisco Connected Car Leaders
Executives Join RideCell to Accelerate Adoption of Platform for Car and Ride Sharing Services
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 25, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- RideCell (www.ridecell.com), the leading platform for scaling game-changing new mobility services such as ride-sharing and car-sharing, today announced the appointment of Mark Thomas as Vice President of Marketing, and Paul Drysch as Vice President of Business Development and General Manager of APAC region. Both Thomas and Drysch have impressive track records marketing and selling connected car services to automotive OEMs, including General Motors, Tesla, Ford, and over 20 other global car companies.
Mark, a B2B marketing leader with more than 20 years of professional experience in transportation technology will be responsible for building the brand and marketing strategy, marketing communications, analyst relations, alliances and will be the spokesperson for RideCell. Prior to joining RideCell, Thomas headed the connected car marketing team at Cisco Jasper, where he developed the product and go-to-market strategies for automotive OEMs. Prior to Cisco, Mark led product marketing at HERE, a leading automotive maps company. In addition, Mark served in marketing, strategy, and business development roles at Apple and Nokia.
Drysch is an industry veteran with more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in the connected vehicle and IoT markets. At RideCell, he is responsible for all sales and growth initiatives for new mobility services for the automotive segment. Prior to joining RideCell, he served as the Global Director of Connected Car at Cisco Jasper where he was responsible for leading the company's worldwide sales efforts towards connected vehicle manufacturers. Paul also led the automotive telematics business at Aeris Communications for nine years and was a founding member of the WirelessCar North America management team, where he led sales and marketing for the company. Drysch also has automotive sales and management experience from his five years with Honda Motor Co.
