Pavilions Are Handed Over to Countries Participating in EXPO 2017
ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
The Board Chairman of "National Company Astana EXPO-2017" JSC Akhmetzhan Yessimov handed the first pavilions over to the following countries participating in EXPO 2017: Germany, France, China, Hungary and Turkey.
"Today is a memorable day for us and our National Company: the construction of the five key facilities of the exhibition is completed. These are international pavilions, the EXPO-Town with 1,374 flats, EXPO Office, the building of the Internal Affairs Department and the Center of Energy Research. Their total area is 482 thousand square meters," said Mr. Yessimov at the ceremony to mark the transfer of pavilions.
Thus, the phase of active content development began. The exhibition is to open in about 220 days; therefore, the participants have enough time to prepare their sites well. A special Technical Bureau has been opened to support the participating countries; besides, there is an accreditation center. According to Mr. Yessimov, organizers are ready to provide support for the participants of the exhibition, from legal advice to other organizational issues.
On the first day the largest pavilion was handed over to Germany. Its area is 1,249.5 square meters, and it is called "On the Way to Energy".
France occupied the pavilion with the area of 1,069.1 square meters and called it "Energy Transition to Green Growth". The country's developments in the sphere of "green energy" will be presented in the following sub-themes: "City of the Future", "Renewable Energy" and "Ecological Modes of Transport".
The area of China's pavilion is 1,000 square meters. As part of the "Green Silk Road" theme, the Theatre of Dreams of the Future of Energy will be presented. New developments related to cooperation of China with the nations along the Silk Road and all over the world in the sphere of energy will be shown there.
The pavilion of Hungary covers an area of 411.9 square meters. The theme of the pavilion is "Future Energy Unites Us". It is based on specific location and economic factors of the country's available energy sources. Modern units of urban planning and engineering of electrical grids will be presented there.
Turkey occupies the pavilion with the area of 959 square meters.
