FrieslandCampina Asia Wins CSR Leadership Award

Since the establishment of the DDP in 2012, the programme has reached over 45,000 smallholder farmers directly and indirectly in Asia, empowering them with the resources to run their businesses sustainably, as well as increase their yield and output through capacity building efforts such as training and the provision of access to inclusive finance.

Commenting on the award win, Mr. Piet Hilarides, Chief Operating Officer, Consumer Products Asia, FrieslandCampina said: "This CSR Leadership Award is an affirmation and reminder of the important responsibility that we as a corporation have in creating shared value for the communities in which we live and operate in.

The CSR Leadership Award was presented at a ceremony held yesterday evening as part of the 9^th Annual Global CSR Summit and Awards in Langkawi, Malaysia. The awards honour companies for outstanding, innovative and world-class programmes and projects that demonstrate an on-going commitment to ethical values, a respect for communities and the environment in the way it does business.
