Since the program's inception in 2010, PREP has provided services to over 450 patients, their caregivers, and family members. To date over 200 of the new registrants are diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer and are generally referred to PREP by family members and/or caregivers as well as their doctors and hospitals.
"I started volunteering with Debbie's Dream Foundation in 2012 as a PREP Mentor and Maryland Chapter Founder. I am so excited to see that so many others have joined this incredible experience to help stomach cancer patients, families, and caregivers in a time when they need it the most," said Gae Rogers. "As a stomach cancer survivor, I understand the difficulties that others are facing, I find it highly rewarding to share my journey and experience with them."
Among many other sponsors, EMD Serono has partnered with DDF as a Sapphire Sponsor for the PREP Program. If you or someone you know would like to join DDF's FREE Patient Resource Education Program, visit http://www.debbiesdream.org/portal/patient-resource-education-program-prep.
