Beer Industry of Florida Congratulates S.R. Perrott

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., June 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, S.R. Perrott, Inc. will have a ribbon cutting to celebrate the company's grand opening of its new facility. The nearly 90,000 square foot Beverage Distribution Warehouse will be located on U.S. 1 in Ormond Beach, Volusia County, Florida.  The combined beer industry in Florida pays nearly $1 billion in federal, state and local taxes. The city of Ormond Beach will present a check for $100,000 to the company for relocating its former Ormond Beach operations within the city's limits.

Beer distributor economic activity is on the uptick across the state of Florida.  Last month, Panhandle distributor, Goldring Gulf Distributing broke ground and kicked off construction of the company's new 191,450 square foot Beverage Distribution Center. The new Milton location will combine the Ft. Walton and Pensacola facilities, employ 220 people and service more than 2,200 retail accounts. It's expected to become operational in January 2015.

Jacksonville-based beer distributor Champions Brands is building an onsite Compressed Natural Gas fueling station that will be open to the public.  Champion Brands has also retrofitted its warehouse with LED lighting costing $200,000. J.J. Taylor Distributing also built a CNG station in Tampa and Ft. Myers.
