A Part of Company's CSR Initiative With Overall Objective of Increasing Computer Literacy in India
In association with 'CRY - Child Rights and You', and as a part of its corporate social initiative, ASUS today donated 8 laptops to CRY, a leading non-governmental organization (NGO) that works for underprivileged children and protects their rights in India. These laptops will be used by CRY to achieve the overall objective of increasing computer literacy in the country. To maximize the usage and make an impact on many more children, the laptops will be stored in the CRY Office which is equipped with 24-hour security as compared to any other community space.

Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Peter Chang, Region Head - South Asia & India Country Manager said, "We are pleased to associate with an organization like CRY with whom we share common goals of increasing computer literacy in India. CRY also focuses on making schools more aware about child rights and become more children-friendly through regular interventions in schools for both children and parents. These sessions in schools will be made more impactful through the medium of audio-v ideo/informative films that can be screened using these laptops.
