ZURU obtains preliminary injunction against Balloon Bonanza
TYLER, TX, Dec. 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - ZURU Ltd. has been granted a preliminary injunction against the manufacturers of Balloon Bonanza in its patent infringement case in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Balloon Bonanza is a replica of ZURU's hugely successful, patented Bunch O Balloons item. District Court Judge Robert W. Schroeder III's ruling on December 3, 2015, bars the making, importing, using, marketing, advertising, offering to sell or selling of Balloon Bonanza in the United States.
Bunch O Balloons has been a worldwide sensation and ZURU has been vigilant in defending its innovative product, ''We were confident that the Court would rule in our favor and are thrilled with this outcome. ZURU has invested heavily into Bunch O Balloons and our IP and will defend our rights vehemently against any infringement," says Anna Mowbray, COO, ZURU.
"Innovation is what keeps the industry alive. ZURU puts a huge effort into being innovative and inferior knock offs only stifle innovation, which is why ZURU will do everything in its power to stop counterfeits of its products," said Nick Mowbray, ZURU.
