This latest release builds on Zoomdata's "ease of use" and its ability to report and analyze big data from any source. Zoomdata provides an extensive set of pre-built connectors that ease access to data sources including Cloudera (Search and Impala), Facebook Presto, Amazon (Redshift, RDS and Kinesis), Apache Solr, Elastic Search and Mongo DB. Zoomdata also expanded its Visualization Studio to include zoomable maps, dual axis and multi bar graphs and its innovative 'finger painting' visualization. Additionally, Zoomdata added support for the latest generation of web-widgets, MS-SharePoint Web Part, Hadoop security via Kerberos and an enhanced user experience that supports both browsers and mobile devices. In short, Zoomdata provides next generation big data analytics and visualization for everyone, not just data scientists and power BI users.
"Since our company's inception, we've strived to re-imagine how data is reported and analyzed as well as to provide a platform designed to capitalize on next generation big data sources," said Justin Langseth, CEO of Zoomdata. "With our latest release, businesses now have the power to access and analyze billions of records, including real-time streaming data, and perform functions such as multi-value analysis, all from their web browser or iPad and in a matter of seconds - a truly game changing user experience."
The Zoomdata Server, which includes a stream processing engine, has received a U.S. Patent for the process it uses to generate fleets of micro queries that are used to create visualizations. With the explosion of data, the Zoomdata Server is in the unique position to provide the reporting and analytical horsepower businesses need to analyze their big data installations. One of Zoomdata's key benefits is its ability to directly query a data source, eliminating the need to take custody or duplicate the data. This not only accelerates deployments, it reduces costs associated with redundant data storage and unwanted, added data security risks.
Zoomdata's customer base continues to expand and includes leaders in pharmaceuticals, retail, insurance and web advertising. Common themes across Zoomdata's customers in 2013 were the need to report on databases growing by billions of records a day, deploy visualizations that capitalize on their data and search capabilities, and to replace aging reporting systems with an easy-to-use interface for business for their users.
To support Zoomdata's fast paced growth, they have opened an office in San Francisco.
This latest release kicks off a busy week for Zoomdata that includes exhibiting and speaking at the O'Reilly Strata Conference - February 11–13 - at the Santa Clara Convention Center Justin Langseth, Zoomdata's CEO and Founder will take the stage with Eva Andreasson, Cloudera's Senior Product Manager for Search on Wednesday February 12 presenting 'Minority Report Meets Big Data: Touch and Interactive Big Data is Here.' Later on Wednesday, Justin will take the stage with Gus Hunt, former CTO of the CIA at 1:30PM with a presentation titled 'Napoleon's March to D3.js: The Future of Big, Real-time Interactive Data Visualization.'.
