Zoned Properties Expands Advisory Services Division with Key New Hire
Dr. John Kester III Joins as Division Manager of Zoned Advisory Services
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Zoned Properties, Inc. (OTCQX: ZDPY), a strategic real estate development firm whose primary mission is to identify, develop and lease sophisticated, safe and sustainable properties in emerging industries, including the licensed medical marijuana industry, today announced that Dr. John Kester III will join Zoned Properties as Division Manager of its Zoned Advisory Services, effective October 1, 2018.
Bryan McLaren, Chief Executive Officer, commented, "For years, Zoned Properties has assisted and advised on development projects for licensed medical marijuana projects across the country. This exposure has provided us the opportunity to build relationships and best practices across the entire vertical of the licensed medical marijuana industry. We have noticed an important and likely valuable gap in professional services provided to local regulators and municipal staff that are often forced to quickly implement regulatory guidelines on the local level. As Zoned Properties expands its product offerings for Zoned Advisory Services, we can create an opportunity to assist local representatives and regulators in a professional capacity."
The Zoned Advisory Services division of Zoned Properties will focus on providing strategic advisory services to both private and municipal clients across the nation.
Dr. Kester is an expert and trusted advisor in the industries of construction, building products and manufacturing with a decade of experience advising on community development projects. He has an accomplished history of developing advising and research programs for professional consortiums and global companies, including Wal-Mart. Prior to joining Zoned Properties, he served as a Sustainability Advisor, with a focus on Building Products, for MAPEI, a world-leading, environmentally-conscious manufacturer of building products used in every aspect of construction where he engaged with international teams to support sustainability research and reporting to support strategy and product development. Prior to that, he served as a Research Associate with The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) where he developed dozens of toolkits for assessing supply chain sustainability and engaged with TSC members across a variety of sectors to drive improvements in account management, stakeholder engagement and innovation opportunities through the lens of sustainability.
"John brings a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to our team through his years of professional advisory to leading, global brands and distinguished, doctoral research," commented Bryan McLaren, Chief Executive Officer of Zoned Properties. "He shares our convictions for high-quality, repeatable development processes that produce sustainable projects through proactive, client and civic engagement. John will lead our efforts to implement a national platform for our Zoned Advisory Services, a primary focus of our business strategy that we are cultivating through a rich network of relationships I have developed over the past several years."
Dr. Kester holds a PhD in Environmental Dynamics from the University of Arkansas, a Masters in Sustainable Communities from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Economics from Denison University.
