Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. To Participate In Annual "Shamu & You" Walk At Seaworld

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. is sponsoring a team to participate in the 7^th Annual "Shamu & You" Family Walk at SeaWorld San Diego to be held Oct. 6, 2013. The walk offers a 1-mile or 4-mile course, including post-event festivities at the finish line such as games, entertainment, food and fun for kids of all ages. The goal of the event is to raise funds for critically ill children treated at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego. So far, Zodiac has raised more than $1,000 and has more than 30 employees and family members participating at the event.

Zodiac Pool Systems, a global leader and manufacturer of pool and spa products, has an in-house charitable team, PATH (Providing Alternative Tomorrows with Hope), which is involved with volunteer activities for the company to support the local community. The steering committee for PATH meets monthly to determine appropriate activities in which to participate.

Since January this year the PATH team has organized and participated in several charitable events including a school supply drive for Joli Ann Leichtag Elementary School, a blood drive for the American Red Cross, Oceanside Pier Clean-up, a toy drive for Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, and a run benefitting the Ronald McDonald House. This is the second year Zodiac is participating in the "Shamu & You" Family Walk at SeaWorld.
