LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- (MGMA Booth #607) – ZirMed®, a leading health information connectivity and management solutions company, today announced it has achieved record growth through the first nine months of 2013. The company has signed over 900 new customers this year, including John Muir Health, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Holston Medical Group. ZirMed also announced that its 175,000 providers have processed over 2.2 billion transactions on its robust connectivity platform. The company attributes recent growth to its innovative technology approach, SaaS-based software, and its ability to seamlessly integrate with existing IT systems. To meet the rapidly increasing market demand for its revenue cycle management, clinical communications and analytics solutions, ZirMed has also already grown its workforce by over 30 percent this year.

In the past nine months, ZirMed launched three new products: ZirMed Analytics, enterprise- and practice-level analytics tools that provide insight into operational and financial performance; Clinical Link, a HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based communications platform; and Patient Estimation, a web-based solution that enables provider organizations to accurately determine a patient's financial responsibility prior to providing service or care. In addition, ZirMed's online payment portal, Patient Notebook 2.0, was certified for Meaningful Use Stage 2 in September.
"We performed an extensive search to find a solution suite that would integrate seamlessly and comprehensively with our new Epic system and found that the ZirMed platform is way ahead of all of the others in terms of offering a very modern software architecture," said Chris Pass, senior vice president, revenue cycle and analytics, John Muir Health. "ZirMed also demonstrates a much deeper commitment to working with its customers, being flexible to their needs and driving innovation based on those needs, not limited by the constraints of older, antiquated systems."
ZirMed also recently announced its proactive strategy for helping its clients prepare for ICD-10 with comprehensive training, education and mapping tools, demonstrating its commitment to its customers through the transition. ZirMed will accept 5010 files with ICD-10 codes from their clients in the ZirMed self-test area, a service ZirMed has provided for several months, and expects that client utilization will continue to increase as the industry is closing in on the go-live date of October 1, 2014.
"Increasing regulatory pressures and the adoption of new care and payment models are increasingly driving provider organizations to seek more flexible, modern solutions for connectivity, communications and analytics. Thanks to our historic investments in technology and service delivery, we have been extremely well positioned to meet those needs," said Tom Butts, CEO, ZirMed. "We are only as good as the talent we have working here at ZirMed, and we have been fortunate to be able to complement our great existing teams with top talent to maintain our reputation in the industry as the most client service-oriented, innovative technology company in our space."
