MINNEAPOLIS, June 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Zipnosis, the first virtual care company empowering health systems to launch virtual care service lines staffed by their own clinicians, was named one of Minnesota's 2016 Best Places to Work by The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal.
Honorees were selected based on anonymous surveys administered to employees of companies throughout Minnesota. Employees rated their employers on communication efforts, leadership and more. Zipnosis was honored in the small business category, representing companies with 25 to 49 Minnesota employees.
"We are proud to be recognized by The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as one of the best places to work in the state," said Zipnosis CEO Jon Pearce. "Being a best place to work comes from recruiting exceptional people—and then intentionally nurturing a culture of respect, purpose, support and fun. All of us are focused on the exciting errand of transforming the way healthcare is delivered. We will continue to nurture that culture and aim to attract the best and brightest to our transformative company."
Zipnosis offers health systems an industry-leading white-labeled virtual care telemedicine platform, providing patients convenient access to care via the internet, phone or video. The platform guides patients through an evidence-based adaptive online interview. Once complete, a clinician reviews the patient's clinical history and is presented with recommended diagnosis and treatment options, based on national best practices. The clinician then provides the patient with a diagnosis and if medically appropriate, a prescription. To ensure continuity in care, patient visit information can be stored within the health system's electronic health record (EHR).
2016 is the 18th year for this Best Places to Work award, Minnesota's longest-running awards program recognizing top workplaces. The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal will honor winners at an awards ceremony at U.S. Bank Stadium, in Minneapolis, Aug. 25 from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m.
