FRASER, Mich., Nov. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- zipLogix™, creators of zipForm®, today announced that an opt-in feature is now available within zipForm® Plus that will protect users' accounts and confidential client information from unauthorized access. If users opt in to Two-Factor Authentication, each time they sign in to their accounts, they'll be asked to enter a code that will be sent to their email or mobile device in order to gain access.
Users will have the option to check a box to "remember this device" to avoid having to enter the code every time from that device when using the same browser. After three failed login attempts, account holders will receive an email notifying them that someone else may be trying to access their account.
"zipForm® Plus users now have one more tool to protect themselves and their clients from stolen identities and wire fraud costing billions of dollars in losses every year," said zipLogix™ Chairman of the Board Mark Peterson. "We are staying one step ahead of the culprits committing these violating acts that cause major repercussions for everyone involved – clients, agents and financial institutions."
Stay tuned for the second phase of this release on Nov. 8, which will allow brokers to turn on Two-Factor Authentication for all users in their brokerage. Every agent will then be prompted to set up the security feature upon login.
Two-Factor Authentication adds to the tool zipLogix™ already provides to combat fraud – zipCommunity®, a secure online collaboration tool within the zipForm® Plus platform, that allows agents and clients to share confidential information.
