Zig Joins Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Creating CP+B Canada
Move Further Expands CP+B's Global Reach
MIAMI and BOULDER, Colo., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Crispin Porter + Bogusky announced today that leading Canadian agency and fellow MDC Partners network firm Zig has joined CP+B, creating CP+B Canada. This strategic move further enhances CP+B's global positioning and gives them access to an entirely new and very driven talent pool in Toronto, the third biggest advertising market in North America, as well as a number of top-tier clients. Zig's current client list includes Molson Canadian, IKEA, Best Buy Canada, Burt's Bees, Pfizer, SCA and Unilever.
CP+B Canada will be run by newly appointed CEO and Zig alum, Shelley Brown. Andy Macaulay, CEO of Zig, moves to the role of chairman, CP+B Canada, where he will act in an advisory capacity. Aaron Starkman moves to executive creative director. CP+B Canada will be run out of Zig's Toronto office, and Zig's Chicago office will be wound down as it becomes geographically redundant with the current CP+B locations.
"We are thrilled to be joining CP+B, the most creative, digitally sophisticated, and awarded firm in the world. The opportunity to be a part of CP+B and to contribute our own thought leadership will enable us to deliver the smartest, most innovative work for our clients as well as those of CP+B," said Shelley Brown.
“CP+B has always been about change, forward motion and talent, and this move embraces all of those values,” said Chuck Porter, chairman of CP+B and chief strategist of MDC. “I’ve loved Zig forever. They’re smart and they do great work that builds brands. Adding their creative firepower to what we now have in Boulder, Miami, Los Angeles and Sweden will be a great thing for our agency and our clients. Being in Toronto is an added benefit. This is the third largest advertising market in North America with a fantastic creative community. I’m hoping we’ll be able to attract more than our share.”
