Zeta Interactive and Valassis Launch Digital Insert Program to Help Find Missing Children
Program Extends Have You Seen Me?® Program into Dynamic Digital Format
NEW YORK and LIVONIA, Mich., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Zeta Interactive, an award-winning digital marketing agency, and Valassis (NYSE: VCI), one of the nation's leading media and marketing services companies, today announced the official launch of a digital insert initiative for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). The printed versions of the Have You Seen Me?® missing child program that appear across the RedPlum™ media portfolio will be transformed into targeted e-mails featuring these same children.
The program will deploy later in the week with the e-mails reaching between 3 and 5 million people with added personal information and engaging interactive content, helping NCMEC to raise awareness, educate and ultimately, help locate more missing children. The e-mail recipients will readily be able to contact NCMEC directly to report information about a case from these digital versions of the photos.
The reach of the Have You Seen Me? program will be expanded via digital publications on Zeta Interactive's highly-acclaimed Zeta Next Page digital publishing platform. Photos of missing children will then be delivered to millions of people, targeted specifically by age, location and gender, on Zeta Interactive's award-winning Zeta Mail e-mail marketing platform.
Among the key features and functionality that can be included in Zeta Interactive's new digital insert program are:
- Interactive navigation;
- Zooming and photo enlarging capabilities;
- Downloadable and printable options;
- Sharing and social media functionality; and
- E-mail, audio and video link embedding functionality.
"For 25 years Valassis has helped us take photos of missing children into millions of homes and helped reunite hundreds of families. Photos work. Enabling more people to see photos is a very positive development," said Ernie Allen, President and CEO of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
Zeta Interactive is partnering with Valassis to build upon the company's 25-year relationship with NCMEC to feature the names and faces of missing children in the mail, the newspaper and online at redplum.com and Valassis.com. The Have You Seen Me? program reaches 100 million households each week across multiple zones, targeting children in the areas where there are the greatest opportunities for recovery. In May, the program celebrated its silver anniversary in conjunction with NCMEC and the U.S. Postal Service. A special edition of the RedPlum Shared Mail Wrap featured 145 children across six zones in May and led to Zeta Interactive's involvement, leveraging its strengths to build upon this successful program.
"We are pleased to announce the launch of our charitable digital insert program for the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children," said Al DiGuido, CEO of Zeta Interactive and longtime philanthropist himself, as the Founder of Al's Angels. "By transforming the organization's print content into interactive publications, NCMEC will now be able to reach a wider, national audience in a highly targeted manner, helping them accomplish their goal of ensuring more missing children come home to a safer and warmer environment."
"The Have You Seen Me? program is based on four goals of which helping to find missing children is first and foremost," said Vince Giuliano, Valassis Senior Vice President of Government Relations, who is also a member of the NCMEC Board of Directors. "From day one, we have held to those principles and they have become part of our daily business DNA. This program is a shining example of a corporation and a government agency working with a non-profit advocacy organization to perform a public service. Now this program is inspiring another business to do the same, and together, we will help to bring home even more missing children."
The program's goals also include:
- Raising America's awareness about missing and exploited children;
- Serving as a deterrent to would-be-abductors; and
- Making sure that no missing child is ever forgotten.
This announcement follows a string of recent initiatives and charitable service offerings that Zeta Interactive has launched for non-profit organizations. Over the past year alone, the company has received acclaim for its Zeta Cares initiative, which provides charitable organizations with digital marketing expertise and technologies at no cost. The company also recently announced the successful launch of the official website for leading Houston, Texas-based charity Friday Harbour.
