Zerbe Joins FD Alliance Nonprofit Industry Advisory Board
ATLANTA, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The FD Alliance has added Dean Zerbe to its National Nonprofit Industry Practice Board of Advisors.
"We are pleased to add Dean's advice and counsel in the non-profit arena," said FD Alliance Chair David Deeter. "For over 25 years Dean has been active in congressional investigations of government waste, fraud and abuse, including serving as Senior Counsel and Tax Counsel on the Senate Finance Committee for Senator Charles Grassley. Our practitioners believe there is a different level of service that religious organizations and national nonprofit organizations deserve and are committed to bringing the very best expertise to clients' situations. His involvement with the Alliance is a testament to that commitment."
"The Alliance's Nonprofit practice is one of the few in the country that addresses head on the issues of internal control and governance so critical in today's environment of fraud and abuse," said Zerbe. "I have joined as an advisor because I believe there is a void in the CPA market of guiding and advising nonprofits in the effective creation of processes that help mitigate the issues that can significantly undermine their very charter."
Added Zerbe: "I will be working with the Alliance to introduce important nonprofit 'stress testing' into their methodologies, and will participate in a series of educational webinars and client seminars. I am especially looking forward to assisting charities in protecting and strengthening their reputation to donors and the public."
