Zenith American Solutions To Offer Telehealth Services
Leading Benefits Administrator Partners with MDLIVE to Offer Customers 24/7 Care
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Zenith American Solutions, Inc.® ("Zenith American"), a leading third-party benefits administrator, announced today that it is expanding its capabilities to include telehealth services. The company has signed an agreement with MDLIVE, the leading provider of integrated telehealth, medical and behavioral health services. Beginning in early March, Zenith American will offer its clients 24/7/365 access to board certified doctors and therapists through MDLIVE's Virtual Medical Office platform.
"We are extremely pleased to partner with MDLIVE to offer our clients and their plan participants the ability to receive medical attention any time of day or night," said Art Schultz, chief executive officer, Zenith American. "If they or a family member are sick during the middle of the night, they can call or video conference with a doctor immediately and avoid waiting for hours in a hospital emergency room. MDLIVE's innovative digital platform gives our clients the convenience and flexibility to access care whenever they need it at a much lower cost than urgent care."
Zenith American currently administers benefits to nearly 2 million plan participants, retirees and dependents on behalf of multi-employer Taft-Hartley trust funds, trade associations, government entities and corporate employers. The company's partnership with MDLIVE enables its clients to receive medical consultations and treatment any time of day or night via telephone, video conference or email. Patients will have access to doctors within 16 minutes of initiating a call and can be prescribed medications, if needed.
"We are honored that Zenith American has selected MDLIVE as its telehealth services partner," said Randy Parker, founder and CEO, MDLIVE. "Our advanced telehealth platform is changing the way health care is delivered, making it more convenient, affordable and cost-efficient for patients, providers and progressive organizations like Zenith American."
Zenith American's partnership with MDLIVE is the company's latest initiative to support its strategic expansion. Earlier this year, Zenith American acquired Benserco, Inc. to increase its national presence and extend its strong base of clients.
