ZEISS Metrology Service Center Grand Opening in Chicago

MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Oct. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions is bringing measuring service and programming expertise, along with product demonstrations, to the Chicago area with the grand opening of its new service center on November 7. ZEISS will be showing off the latest measurement technologies including several optical systems, offering educational sessions, and providing time for product demonstrations and networking.

Attendees can register for up to three different metrology sessions, each offered in the morning and afternoon. Jamie Dadez of Applied Geometrics Inc., will offer geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) courses. ZEISS experts will also cover the value of X-ray technology, evaluating entire components, plus covering the advantages of CALYPSO metrology software and the new features for 2018. Lunch will be offered throughout the afternoon, along with the opportunity to register for a chance to win a pair of ZEISS TERRA binoculars.

A broad range of contact and optical measurement systems and sensors will be available, including the latest addition to the ZEISS CMM lineup. Ideal for measuring small, intricate parts, the MICURA CMM from ZEISS with active scanning and submicron accuracy now includes a model with an even larger measuring range. For optical measurements, the O-INSPECT system features both optical and contact scanning for reliable 3D accuracy. There are also the latest surface, form and geometry systems to complete the measuring and demonstration capabilities.
