Zebra Technologies' Zatar Joins ARM mbed IoT Ecosystem to Accelerate Development

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Nov. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in solutions and services that provide real-time visibility into organizations' assets, people and transactions and ARM, the world's leading semiconductor intellectual property (IP) supplier, today announced the integration of Zebra's Zatar IoT Cloud Service as an mbed-enabled cloud service for seamless, out-of-the-box connectivity with ARM mbed-enabled devices for commercial services. By integrating the mbed-enabled Zatar, Zebra and ARM will help electronic manufacturers with mbed-enabled devices to rapidly and securely collect data from individual sensors to build end-to-end IoT solutions.

Zebra's Zatar is also cloud partners with Atmel, a leader in microcontroller (MCU) and touch technology solutions; Freescale Semiconductor, enablers of secure, embedded processing solutions for the Internet of Tomorrow; and Renesas, a premier supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions. These relationships demonstrate Zatar's growing IoT ecosystem, and the integration will help developers accelerate innovation and enhance business operations through connected devices and analysis of the data.
