Zappos Delivers Happiness to Animals and Humans Alike With This Year's 'Home For The Pawlidayz' Campaign
In partnership with North Shore Animal League America, Zappos will sponsor dog and cat adoptions at pre-selected shelters for approved adopters nationwide on Black Friday weekend
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Zappos for Good, Zappos' dedicated community and charitable arm, has partnered with North Shore Animal League America for the annual 'Home for the Pawlidayz' campaign which kicks off on Black Friday and continues through the weekend. Zappos for Good has sponsored over 18,000 pet adoptions to date and aims to reach the 25,000 mark with this year's 'Home for the Pawlidayz' campaign as a final push, tapping the holiday spirit to put more animals in their forever homes!
Through Pawlidayz, Zappos will sponsor dog and cat adoptions at pre-selected North Shore Animal League America partner shelters across the country. Now in its third year, the Pawlidayz initiative has become a beloved Zappos holiday tradition, helping thousands of animals find their forever homes by uniting them with loving families through sponsored adoptions. It's happiness doubled, as with each adoption two lives are saved: the adopter and adoptee.
"The best kind of presents around the holidays often don't fit into a box… they greet you at the front door," says Steven Bautista, Head of Charity at Zappos. "At Zappos we love gifts that keep on giving and memories that last, and our furry friends are just that. We've already sponsored more than 18,000 pet adoptions over the past two years and we're just getting started… 25,000 adoptions, here we come!"
This year the Zappos team went a step further with the launch of Friends on Us Fridays, a program which took the free adoptions usually offered over one weekend and expanded it to every Friday from August through November in 36 cities across the country; all in the name of increasing America's Gross Domestic Happiness the Zappos way!
Additionally, Zappos will be sponsoring pet adoptions at local animal shelters in every city along Jewel's Handmade Holiday Tour, a nationwide tour where Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and animal lover Jewel will be performing her favorite holiday classics. The Handmade Holiday Tour kicks off in Las Vegas on November 24 with stops in Denver, San Diego, Milwaukee, and many more.
