ZAFUL's third-anniversary sale is a big hit with customers

Big discounts drive sales

The promotion offered a 90 percent discount on selected items and a host of items selling for $9.99. Other perks included a $15 markdown on sales of $99 or more.
Single-item sales were five times greater than those on Black Friday 2016 (the day after US Thanksgiving). Bikinis were hot items, selling more than 1,000 per day during the sale. Dress sales were popular, too, with increased sales of 50 percent.
Mobile app downloads increase
In response to the growing mobile market, ZAFUL has upgraded its mobile access and the anniversary celebration saw a 47 percent increase in ZAFUL iOS app downloads. "It's clear that the increase in downloads was driven by the discounts," said Phoone Lee, ZAFUL's iOS app principal.
"Mobile shopping offers the convenience of shopping wherever and whenever you want. We're expecting this to become even more popular as we go along and we're adapting our software accordingly."
