Zack Snyder Joins Emerging Directors Showcase Jury

NEW YORK, Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The One Club, producers of the prestigious One Show Awards, in partnership with thinkLA, announced today the judges for the 2013 Emerging Directors Showcase, a competition celebrating the best directors with fewer than three years' experience. Zack Snyder, director of Hollywood blockbusters Man of Steel and 300, joined an accomplished jury of directors who will determine this year's winners.
In its inaugural year, the Emerging Directors Showcase awards up-and-coming directors and film students, whose work will be judged by directors of the world's leading production companies and advertising agencies. Patrick O'Neill, Executive Creative Director of TBWA\CHIAT\DAY / Los Angeles was named jury chair.

"Emerging Directors Showcase is a gauge of new directorial techniques, giving us a glimpse into the future of film," said Michael Nadeau, Managing Director of The One Club West. "It's also a great opportunity for directors who are young in the industry to get exposure for their work. With two documentaries under its belt, and more on the horizon, The One Club has consistently shown commitment to creativity in all its forms, including film."
Client-commissioned categories include broadcast, web video/film, mobile video/film, branded short films, music video, animation and PSAs. Non-commissioned categories include spec commercial, artistic film or video and student film or video.
The deadline for submission is September 20, 2013. Winners will be announced in Los Angeles on November 6, 2013.
