Z Capital Group Appoints Andrew Coats as Operating Partner to its Private Equity Team

NEW YORK, Aug. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Z Capital Group, L.L.C. ("Z Capital"), a leading alternative asset manager focused on opportunistic, value-oriented private equity and credit funds, today announced the appointment of Andrew Coats as an Operating Partner. Mr. Coats will be based in New York and will assist the firm's private equity team with the real estate holdings of portfolio companies as well as with operations and development in Z Capital's real estate portfolio.

Mr. Coats has nearly two decades of experience in real estate, development, design and construction in both the U.S. and international markets. Prior to joining Z Capital, Mr. Coats served as Director of the Development Management team at BlackRock Real Estate Advisors. In this role, Mr. Coats was responsible for acquisitions, design management, entitlements and construction oversight on ground up and repositioning projects as well as managing value add and opportunistic real estate deals. Prior to his time at BlackRock, Mr. Coats worked for Rudin Management, a real estate development firm in New York where he oversaw luxury residential and commercial projects. Additionally, Mr. Coats founded and led the Design Management Group at BuroHappold Engineering, an international, integrated engineering consultancy operating in 23 locations worldwide.
