YouCaring's Crowdfunding Pages Raise More Than $1M for Victims of Ghost Ship Fire

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bay Area community came together in a massive outpouring of support to help victims of the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland. In just over a week, 15 YouCaring crowdfunding pages have raised over $1,276,425.

A YouCaring crowdfunding page started by the Oakland A's called the Oakland Fire Relief has raised more than $461,000 to date.  In addition to the A's, the Oakland Raiders, and Golden State Warriors have matched up to $50,000 each for a total of $150,000. The Gray Area Foundation for the Arts set-up a YouCaring page called Fire Relief Fund for Victims of Ghostship Oakland Fire that has raised $628,000. https://www.youcaring.com/firevictimsofoaklandfiredec232016-706684 
In addition, 13 other YouCaring crowdfunding pages have been set-up that have raised more than $186,000.
