Yoostar Appoints Gregory Fischbach as President and CEO and Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne as Co-Chairman
Co-Founder of Acclaim Entertainment Inc. joins Yoostar as company prepares to launch world's first Social Video Game
NEW YORK, May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Yoostar Entertainment Group announced today the appointments of Gregory Fischbach as President and CEO and Patrick Bousquet-Chavanne as the company's Co-Chairman. Fischbach and Bousquet-Chavanne will jointly assume day-to-day executive functions.
Fischbach was Co-Founder, Co-Chairman, and CEO of Acclaim Entertainment Inc., a NASDAQ-listed company that transformed the video gaming industry in the 90's, and served as President of Activision International and a member of its Management Committee from 1983 to 1986. He was also one of the co-Founders of the ESA (Entertainment Software Association) and ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) in the mid-1990's, and served as its Chairman for two years.
"Last Fall, Yoostar heralded a new kind of personalized entertainment experience that's totally immersive, fun and social with the launch of Yoostar, Movie Karaoke," said Bousquet-Chavanne. "Now with Gregory's experience in the console video game industry and his insights and vast knowledge into social gaming, we will transform Yoostar into the next generation social video game platform."
"We're creating the next evolution of Yoostar to incorporate a true social structure in the play mechanic of the game, allowing the user to post and share the video they create and to participate in a vibrant community with other players," said Fischbach. "This will be the first 'Social Video Game' that bridges the worlds of social gaming, consoles and user-generated video content."
Yoostar has already secured world-class movie content from leading motion picture studios for use in its social video game platform, including hundreds of iconic movie scenes and top Hollywood talent. "By combining the forces of top movie content, Yoostar's proprietary special effects technology and the power of console computing, we can bring the magic and fun of Hollywood to every living room," said Fischbach.
Yoostar Entertainment Group has been working with one of the industry's leading video game developers to port the user experience to consoles. The next generation game will be showcased at the E3 Expo in June.
