Yole Developpement Ranks Silex Microsystems as the World's Largest Pure-Play MEMS Foundry
Silex Achieves 27% Revenue Growth in 2011
JARFALLA, Sweden, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second consecutive year, Silex Microsystems today announced that Yole Developpement (Yole) has ranked Silex as the world's largest pure-play MEMS foundry in their Annual Top 30 MEMS Report. According to Yole's MEMS market & technology analysis, the Top 30 MEMS foundries increased revenues by 5% in 2011 to more than $600 million. Silex Microsystems' revenues grew 27% in 2011, to reach $47 million, outpacing other independent pure-play foundries and the company is the first to break through the $40 million revenue mark.
