IT services firm is honored with nomination for prestigious Chicago-based award
CHICAGO, Aug. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- YJT Solutions, a leading, Chicago based, provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting and managed services, has been recognized as a finalist for the James Tyree Emerging Business Leadership Award. Selected out of more than thirty applicants, YJT's CEO Linda Bracken (along with four other companies' leaders) was evaluated in terms of how her company's spirit and values reflect those of the late Chicago Chamber of Commerce Chairman and business leader James Tyree. Chicago Chamber executives focused on identifying high-growth companies that have shown leadership, strong financial performance for three years, civic and charitable involvement and the ability to grow through innovation and expansion.
"It is with great pride and a humbled heart that YJT accepts this nomination," said CEO Linda Bracken upon hearing the news. "Since the day we opened our doors, we've been committed to helping Chicago companies be more competitive with their IT investments while building an inspired environment for our YJT team to work. It's an honor to have the Chicago Chamber of Commerce recognize us as a finalist for an award in the name of such a great Chicago leader."
YJT was founded more than a decade ago and focused on architecting IT infrastructure for what just might be the most demanding and unrelenting companies on the planet: Chicago futures and options trading firms. YJT helped these firms transition into the world of electronic trading and more recently has helped them scale to meet the extremely low latency and big storage demands of high-frequency trading.
Over the last ten years, YJT has experienced significant growth by expanded its scope and reach, bringing its process driven execution into a variety of other industries and customers throughout the world. Their formula for success can be found in each and every YJT team member's drive to help their customers accelerate their profits, lower fixed costs, and reduce operational risk.
At its core, YJT is comprised of talented, smart, dedicated engineers who care about their clients and community. By recruiting from local universities, talent agencies and via employee recommendations, YJT is proud to have welcomed over a dozen new Chicago based employees in the last year. Through such programs as Letters to Santa and Play with a Purpose, employees have contributed food, toys, clothing and dollars to both the Chicago School District and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. "We are so grateful to be part of such a wonderful city and try to our best to give back," said HR and Talent Manager Anne McCurdy. "We are all so excited for Linda, our firm, and all of the nominees up for this terrific award."
