Yingli Green Energy Announces Ability to Conduct In-House UL Certification Testing
BAODING, China, July 31, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) ("Yingli Green Energy" or the "Company"), a leading solar energy company and the world's largest photovoltaic ("PV") manufacturer, which markets its products under the brand "Yingli Solar", today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Energy (China) Company Limited ("Yingli China"), is now authorized to conduct in-house Underwriters Laboratories (UL) certification testing for solar modules. The participation in UL's Client Test Data Program (CTDP) further validates Yingli Green Energy's advanced quality control and product testing capabilities.

Yingli Green Energy's UL certification testing will now transpire at the Company's Baoding, China-based laboratory facilities, which significantly reduces the time required to bring new products to market. The Company obtained CTDP certification after passing a rigorous assessment by UL, who will thoroughly audit all test results, as well as reassess the management system of the Company's laboratory facilities on an annual basis to ensure the validity of the results.
