Yihai Group Holds "Love Goes Around the World" Carnival and Annual Meeting of Yihai Charity Foundation
BEIJING, Dec. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Students, teachers, Yihai Group employees and honored guests were welcomed by Linda Wong, Chairman of Yihai Group, for a celebration of the company's philanthropic activities at Beijing No. 8 High School, Yihai Campus on November 22nd.

This year's theme was "Love Goes Around the World" and featured a philanthropy carnival where teachers, parents and students sold handmade goods at 81 stands with all proceeds going to charity including improving the educational environment at local schools.
The day also featured "Philanthropy + An International Education Innovative Forum and Yihai Charity Foundation Annual Meeting 2016." The distinguished guests included Stephan A. Orlins, Chairman of the National Committee on US-China Relations. He noted that Yihai Group has underwritten costs for the "China-US Teacher Exchange," which brings talented American high school students to China strengthening the bond between the two countries.

Ivana Tykac, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Arta Spol sro in the Czech Republic, observed that her country can learn from the philanthropic spirit of the Yihai Group. Yihai Group has supported projects in the Czech Republic. She was impressed with the thousands of people who attended the event.
Mr. Yougen Yu, Deputy Secretary of Jiangxi Shangyou County Committee and Deputy Chief of the County Government, Mr. Guanjun Zhao, Editor-in-Chief of the Public Philanthropy Times and Mr. Yachun Liu, President of Beichuan High School also spoke about Yihai Group's dedication to philanthropy and what it means for students in the kindergartens, elementary schools, high schools and elder colleges that the company supports. They agreed that Chinese entrepreneurs play a decisive role in the country's philanthropy, which has grown during the past years.
Mr. Liu Zhiyi, Chairman of Beijing Yihai Charity Foundation, reported on the Yihai elder classes' charity projects, which has helped 750 high school students from Gansu, Jiangsu, Sichuan, Hebei and other places since 2011. The Yihai Group helped these students complete their studies and realize their dream of entering universities.
The discussions addressed how charity can benefit education; ways that businesses can participate in philanthropic activities; social responsibility and helping the poor.
Since 1997, the Yihai Education Group has created 15 award winning schools in China, including kindergartens, elementary schools, elder colleges and training schools with more than 4,000 students.
