YESCO Signage Gives Dolby Theatre a Grand New Appearance
Home of Oscars on Hollywood Boulevard Completes Rebranding
SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The showplace theatre where Academy Awards are presented, formerly known as the Kodak Theatre, has been renamed the Dolby Theatre. In a red-carpet, invitation-only event, the new name and look of the theatre was celebrated with a performance by an eye-popping cast of colorful characters from Cirque du Soleil's Iris, currently running at the Dolby. A bright red bunting hid the new signage for a time, and then, on cue, it dropped dramatically from the building to reveal the Dolby Theatre's new YESCO signage.

The new main signage consists of gold-leafed halo letters with LED illumination, capable of lighting different colors via a remote controller. It was created and installed by YESCO. YESCO also made the vertical sign and logo signs visible in these photographs as well as additional lighted signs inside the rotunda.
The project, on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, was a collaboration among CIM Group, the owners of the Hollywood and Highland property where the theatre is located; Dolby; the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and YESCO.
