Yamaha Generators Serve as Official Power Partner for NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team

CYPRESS, Calif., July 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A.'s power products division announced today its support of the NGM Mobile Forward Racing Team. Yamaha will provide EF2000iS generators to the team, which features four skilled competitors in the international MotoGP™ 18-race championship.

The team will head to the 2014 MotoGP World Championship with Colin Edwards and Aleix Espargaro in their third MotoGP championship and the Italian duo Simone Corsi and Mattia Pasini in the Moto2™  class. The Moto2 class uses bikes powered by a 600cc 4-stroke engine while the MotoGP classes allows a maximum engine capacity of 1000cc. Among their many uses, generators help racing teams run tire warmers to give tires greater traction at the race start.

Races take place on tracks in countries including Qatar, Italy, Australia and the United States.

The Yamaha EF2000iS weighs just 44 pounds and puts out a maximum 16.7 amps – or when paired with second generator – up to 30 amps. It's fitted with a super-quiet muffler and is compact at just 2.2 cubic feet in size. Additionally, Yamaha generators have the longest emission engine durability ratings issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board.
