XL Capital Ltd Continues Sponsorship of China Insurance Industry Leadership Program at Wharton
HAMILTON, Bermuda, April 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL) ("XL" or the "Company") today announced the successful conclusion of the 2010 China Insurance Industry Executive Leadership Program conducted at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania ("Wharton"). Jointly launched in 2006 by XL, the China Insurance Regulatory Commission ("CIRC"), GuoFa Capital Market Research Center and the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at Wharton, the program is an intensive educational initiative designed to develop leaders in the People's Republic of China's insurance industry.
When it was launched, the program was the first Sino-foreign insurance leadership course endorsed by the CIRC to include sessions in both China and other countries. It consists of various educational sessions focusing on strategic and operational market issues such as corporate governance, product innovation and risk management.

The one-week module conducted at Wharton during the week of April 17 completed the Program that started in Zhuhai, China and included more than 20 participants. It covered different aspects of risk management as well sessions on marketing and leadership. XL senior managers traveled to Wharton to give lectures on catastrophe risk management and the insurance industry from a global perspective. The program ended on April 23 with a graduation ceremony.
