"With the extremely small size, energy efficiencies and extended useful life provided by the Xi3® X5A and X7A Modular™ Computers, Z3RO™ Pro Computer, microSERV3R™ and PISTON™ Console, we are very excited to be able to bring Xi3 products to our channel partners," said David M. Eby, President and CEO of CoreMicro. "Xi3 provides our partners with a clear competitive advantage versus the other computers, servers and gaming systems in the market today, and we're pleased to work with Xi3 to help transform the face of technology in Canada."
Since its formation in 2010, Xi3 has unveiled a family of 64-bit, x86-based Modular Computers, gaming consoles and servers that are each roughly the size of a grapefruit (108.5x92.9x92.9-mm), are extremely energy efficient and have useful lives expected to be 2—3 times longer than those of typical computers, gaming machines and servers. Xi3 has achieved such technological breakthroughs by re-imagining the typical computer/server motherboard by shrinking it down and dividing it into three miniaturized yet interconnected boards. This tri-board approach not only replaces the standard motherboard, but also allows end-users and organizations to update/modify their existing Xi3 machines by simply replacing one of the older miniaturized boards with a new one containing the newest available technologies.
"CoreMicro clearly understands the benefits that Xi3 brings to the table," said Jason A. Sullivan, Xi3's founder, president and CEO. "We look forward to working with CoreMicro to expand Xi3's presence throughout Canada."
