Xfinity, Celtics, CSN New England Keep Fans Connected With Celtics On Demand
Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Celtics Content
BOSTON, Nov. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Comcast today announced a new season of programs available as part of Celtics On Demand on Xfinity TV in partnership with the Boston Celtics and CSN New England. The partnership will once again deliver Celtics fans wall-to-wall coverage of the team, ranging from behind-the-scenes features to entire game replays.
Celtics On Demand is available exclusively to Xfinity TV customers to put fans in control and give them access to in-depth coverage of the team and players, as well as press conferences and off the court community events. The Celtics are once again partnering with ELEMENT Productions and also with Loose Canon to deliver unique video content where fans have the opportunity to get to know the players, take a front row seat at Celtics Head Coach Brad Stevens' post-game press conferences, and "Learn from the Pros" through instructional videos with Celtics players and coaches. Furthermore, Celtics On Demand enables fans to tune into replays of CSN's Celtics game telecasts within four hours of each game's conclusion. Games are available On Demand for 24 hours.
Viewers will also be provided with new content including never seen before interviews with members of the 1986 Championship team such as Larry Bird and Kevin McHale, off the court pieces with first-year Celtics Al Horford and Jaylen Brown, player outtakes and bloopers, and Celtics Dancers features.
Celtics On Demand programming is updated regularly and is available around the clock with the ability to pause, fast forward and rewind selections for Xfinity TV customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. It's easy to access by saying "Celtics On Demand" with the X1 Voice Remote or by selecting "Xfinity Services," then "Get Local" and choosing "Celtics On Demand." For game replays and other CSN content, viewers can then select the "Comcast SportsNet" category. As with the vast majority of Xfinity TV's 85,000 On Demand programs available on TV each month, Celtics On Demand comes at no additional cost to the company's TV customers.
"We're thrilled to launch another new season of Celtics On Demand content with our partners at Xfinity," said Ted Dalton, Celtics Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships & Business Development. "Our behind the scenes content allows fans to get a closer look at players and other team personalities, both on and off the court. We are also continuing our very popular Learn from the Pros series where our young fans can learn Celtics basketball from our coaches and players."
"Celtics On Demand is the perfect way for busy fans to stay connected to the Celtics, with can't-miss features and full game replays that bring them all of the action on or off the court," said Tracy Pitcher, Senior Vice President of Comcast's Greater Boston Region. "And it's easy to find by simply saying 'Celtics On Demand' in your X1 Voice Remote. My thanks to the Celtics and CSN for once again partnering with us to provide a great sports experience for our customers.''
