MIDLAND, Mich., Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- XALT Energy, a leading supplier of lithium-ion energy storage solutions, is pleased to announce their participation in the unveiling of New Flyer's latest addition to the Xcelsior® line of transit bus models. New Flyer is the leading manufacturer of heavy-duty transit buses in the United States and Canada.
In a ceremony held at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport on November 27, 2014, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, members of the XALT Energy team were welcomed as special guests for the official launch of the battery-electric buses, powered by XALT Energy solutions, into revenue service with Winnipeg Transit. "XALT Energy was honored to be included in the official launch activities of the Xcelsior® Electric," said Subhash Dhar, XALT Energy's CEO.
New Flyer's new electric city buses are equipped with XALT Energy 40Ah high power (HP) cells.
