Councilor Gerald Bear's initial responsibilities include the setup, oversight, and operations management of the Maliseet Nation facilities, such as its legally compliant cannabis growing facility, clinical laboratory, manufacturing and production facility, and treatment center along with all political and regulatory matters related to these facilities.
Councilor Bear will also ensure that the development and operations activities of the facilities remain in complete compliance with all international, federal, and provincial laws as well as entering discussions and agreement facilitating with other First Nations across Canada so that treatment centers are geographically convenient for patients across the Country, which will allow multiple access points for international travelers seeking immediate treatments for their loved ones with critical ailments.
