Wyle Wins $9.17 Million U.S. Air Force Non-Destructive Inspection Maintenance Contract
Wyle to Perform Maintenance for USAF Material Command At Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyle has been awarded a $9.17 million contract by the U.S. Air Force Material Command to provide non-destructive inspection maintenance services for the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma. This is a one-year contract with four option years.
Wyle's technicians will ensure that inspection equipment remains in good operating condition and meets manufacturing specifications by performing preventative and remedial maintenance.
Maintenance activities will include scheduling and performing interval preventative maintenance on Eddy current and ultrasonic inspection systems, data storage devices, network equipment and computers, as well as diagnosing and repairing equipment malfunctions, modifying system software for software and hardware maintenance, performing inspection development and carrying out equipment upgrades.
In addition, the company will also store, track and handle government property to support the non-destructive inspection program and provide Eddy current and ultrasonic probe sustainment and repair.
