Wyle Cyber Security Expert to Give Speech at Washington, D.C. Area Event March 7-9

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- A Wyle expert on cyber security is one of several speakers making presentations at a Military Cyber Security conference running March 7 to 9 in the Washington, D.C. area.

Shawn Anderson, director of Wyle's Information Assurance Academy, will give a presentation titled "Cyber Assurance, Testing and Training."

Sponsored by the Technology Training Corporation along with the American Institute of Engineers, the event draws together more than 100 of the nation's top experts on cyber security. Presenter topics include "Army Cyber Skills Gap, Where We Are, Where We Need to Be," "Data Security Challenges" and "The Threat Landscape: Understanding Different Adversary Classes."

Wyle's Information Assurance Academy serves the defense community by providing the training and certification testing necessary to assure compliance with the Department of Defense Directive 8570.01.

Wyle provides training and certification tests at various class locations, either at customer locations, at Wyle offices throughout the country or at other facilities, through a partnership with the Ultimate Knowledge Institute. Wyle's students have a more than 90 percent pass rate with their certification examinations. Courses include Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), Security+ and various operating system certification tracks.

The Wyle Information Assurance Academy is available to assist customers in solving problems through workshops, whitepapers, and on site classes to include 8570 and National Initiative Cyber Education (NICE) requirements.
