Wyle Awarded Homeland Defense & Security Technical Area Tasks Contract

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Wyle has been awarded a five-year contract by the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Analysis Centers (IACs) Enterprise to provide expert research and technical analysis in the areas of homeland defense and security; critical infrastructure protection; weapons of mass destruction; chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear defense; biometrics; medical; cultural studies; and alternative energy.

The Homeland Defense & Security (HD) Technical Area Tasks (TATs) contract is a $900 million indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multiple award contract vehicle. Wyle was one of 12 prime contractors selected for award. All awardees will compete for individual task orders; the performance location will be task order dependent.

Wyle will lead contract performance in partnership with its highly experienced subcontractor team. This approach provides future customers deep and diverse capabilities and access to innovative staff professionals nationwide.

HD TAT helps advance DoD Research and Engineering's three key imperatives: mitigate threats against U.S. capabilities; enhance the capabilities of existing military systems; and develop new technology through science and engineering.
