First up is Ford Lions Report LIVE: Training Camp Update on Wednesday, July 25th from 7-7:30 p.m. ONLY Channel 7 viewers will get a sideline seat to all the bruising training camp action, as well as Coach Schwartz's personal take on key preparations for the highly-anticipated 2012 season.
Then, on August 5th, WXYZ will bring viewers inside all the fun from the first annual Coach's Kickoff event, LIVE at Ford Field. Ford Lions Report LIVE: Coach's Kickoff will include exclusive interviews with Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz and star players as they mingle with the fans, followed by a LIVE, head-knockin', full-on practice with the entire team. The evening will wind up with a special concert featuring country music superstar and headliner Randy Houser, newcomer Maggie Rose and a performance by 7 Action News anchor Stephen Clark.
Can't wait for pre-season football? Again this year, WXYZ will produce and broadcast Detroit Lions preseason games with full pregame shows. Here's the schedule:

The preseason game broadcast team will be anchored by NFL broadcast veteran Matt Shepard, and NFL Analyst Rob Rubick, with sideline coverage from 7 Action Sports Director Tom Leyden.
Then, every Sunday from 11-noon during the regular season, WXYZ watchers will get all the pregame action on Ford Lions Report: LIVE, the official pre-game show of the Detroit Lions. Lions' fans will get exclusive interviews, pre-game info and insider game strategy from the Detroit Lions themselves. The program will be hosted by Tom Leyden and Rob Rubick. Fans across Michigan will also see the show on a statewide television network.
Each Monday on 7 Action News at 7:00p.m., fans will get the latest Lions' scoop - straight from the coach - on Schwartz Sez, Tom Leyden's in-depth interview with Detroit Lions Head Coach Jim Schwartz.
Then, every Thursday on 7 Action News at 7:00p.m., Tom Leyden will take fans Inside the Huddle with Lions superstar Ndamukong Suh, who will deliver an insider's view of upcoming game preparations.
Finally, on Sunday nights at 11:30 p.m., Sunday Sports Update with Tom Leyden will feature all the exclusive highlights and an in-depth review of the game, with unique on-the-field insight from key Lions players.
