WXYZ-TV dominates competition with eleven total local Emmy Awards
SOUTHFIELD Mich., June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- WXYZ-TV received the prestigious Station Excellence Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Society Michigan Chapter at the awards presentation at Motor City Casino on Saturday evening, June 16, 2012. The Station Excellence Emmy Award is especially noteworthy, as WXYZ-TV has now swept all three of the highest honors for Michigan television stations this year: the Michigan Association of Broadcasters "Station of the Year" Award, the Michigan AP Broadcasters Association "General Excellence" Award and now the NATAS Michigan Chapter Emmy "Station Excellence" Award.
