NEW YORK, June 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Penske Media's WWD today appointed Alex Badia Style Director. Badia, who most recently served as Sittings Director and Men's Fashion Director for WWD, will be responsible for overseeing all shoots for men's and women's fashion, accessories and beauty.
In this newly created role, Badia will work with the photo and art departments together with WWD's stylists and market editors to continue elevating the fashion identity of WWD's weekly magazine, digital daily and website.

Along with developing and executing story ideas with striking visuals, Badia and WWD's creative team will also seek to maximize WWD's access to talent by raising the bar on its celebrity portrait photography.

Badia has been with Fairchild Publications since 2002. He joined as an associate editor of Daily News Record (DNR) and was named Men's Fashion Director for WWD in 2009. Originally from Barcelona, Alex earned his BBA from the European University in Paris and Geneva, and earned a Masters in Business Studies from London University. In 1996 he came to New York to study Buying and Merchandising at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology).
