Wurldtech Appoints V. Paul Lee and Dr. Moe Kermani to Board of Directors to Drive Innovation

Paul Lee (chair) and Dr. Moe Kermani to its board of directors.  In these roles, Mr. Lee and Dr. Kermani will provide strategic guidance on the company's corporate vision and technology innovation.

V. Paul Lee is the managing partner of Vanedge Capital, a leading digital media venture capital fund in Canada.  Mr. Lee is the former president of Electronic Arts, Inc. (EA), a global leader in interactive software, where he was responsible for its Worldwide Studios group.  He has invested in and served on the boards of a number of Canada's most successful technology companies, including Blast Radius, Active State, ALI Technologies, Bycast, DWave Systems, Recon Instruments and Gamerizon.   He is currently the chair of DigiBC, a member of the Premier's Technology Council, and one of Canada's representatives to the APEC Business Advisory Council.  Mr. Lee has received numerous awards, including a Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, BC Technologies Industries Association Person of the Year, and University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business Honorary Fellow.

Dr. Moe Kermani is a former vice president of NetApp Inc., a leading provider of enterprise data storage solutions. Previously, Dr. Kermani was president and CEO of Bycast Inc., the world leader in storage virtualization software for large-scale digital archives and storage clouds. NetApp acquired Bycast in the spring of 2010. Prior to his tenure with Bycast, Dr. Kermani was head of research and development for Sonigistix Corporation, a leading developer of high performance audio transducers. Dr. Kermani has extensive experience working with entrepreneurial companies and taking leading-edge technology solutions to market. Dr. Kermani currently serves on the board of directors of the Acetech.  He holds a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in physics from the University of British Columbia, is a recipient of the Business in Vancouver's Forty Under 40 Award and was named the BC Technology Industries Association's Person of the Year for 2011.
