Wurl Expands Leadership Team

Kris and Ron will play a critical part in leading the company's expansion as the Wurl Network continues to grow - adding programming from more video producers and extending its distribution to reach new OTT and cable video services.  The Wurl Network powers the distribution of a growing collection of new linear channels, live broadcasts and VOD from leading digital-first video producers including IGN TV, Baeble Music TV, ALT, Tastemade, Condé Nast and others.

Kris Johns was previously Director User Experience at Disney Interactive and, before that, Vice President User Experience at Maker Studios.  As VP User Experience, Kris will lead Wurl's product design team to develop new TV viewing experiences and to enhance the company's cloud-based broadcast management platform.

Ron Gutman was previously the founder and CTO of Imagine Communications and, before that, the Director of Customer Solutions for BigBand Networks.  As Wurl's VP Broadcast Engineering, Ron will lead a team working closely with Wurl's customers to accelerate the launch of their channels and to develop new viewing and monetization services that combine Internet & broadcast technologies.
