WHAT: The 6th Annual Groundwater Festival "Treasure Beneath Our Feet" coincides with National Groundwater Awareness Week, which runs from March 10th to the 16th, recognizing the importance of groundwater as a valuable and renewable resource across the nation. Locally, groundwater supplies 40 percent of the water used within the WRD service area which is home to 10 percent of the State's population. This event will feature educational information and activities throughout the over 40 exhibitor booths, the presentation of the 2013 Groundwater Ambassador Award, Live stage entertainment, free food and so much more.
WHEN: Saturday, March 16, 2013, 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
