WPS Office Unveils Major Update to its Free iOS Office Suite

PALO ALTO, Calif., Aug. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Kingsoft Office Software, Inc. a market leader in mobile and desktop office solutions, today announced that its new WPS Office 4.0 for iOS is available as a free download on the Apple App Store.

WPS Office allows users to view, create and share office documents, presentations spreadsheets, fully compatible with Microsoft Office, on any iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch device. With the launch of WPS Office 4.0, Kingsoft introduces dozens of updates and enhancements to make its free office app even better. This includes a newly updated iPad user experience. Additional updates include:

  • Export documents directly to PDF

Additional WPS Office features include:

• Fully compatible with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• One small app (less than 100 megabytes) includes Writer, Presentation and Spreadsheets
• Supports dozens of file formats including doc, docx, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, tif, pdf and zip
• Rich formatting features similar to a PC experience - fonts, colors, image editing and more
• Advanced collaboration tools including track changes, comments and spell check
• Open documents directly from most of the popular cloud services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, OneDrive and WebDAV
• Share presentations with other devices using AirPlay, WIFI and DLNA
• Share documents through AirDrop and WIFI
