LONDON, June 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
Last night, WPP's excellence in communicating with the City and its influencers was honoured at Communicate magazine's Corporate & Financial Awards 2013. WPP won a Gold award in the category of Best Printed Report and a Silver for Best Online Report, both created by WPP corporate communications agency, Addison.
The Corporate & Financial Awards, established by Communicate magazine, is the industry benchmark of companies' communication with the City and its influencers. The awards provided an opportunity for staff, companies, agencies and beneficiaries alike to see their efforts recognised and to celebrate excellence in all aspects of city communication. The entries were judged by a panel of experienced in-house practitioners and journalists in order to celebrate excellence in all aspects of City communication - to the buyside, the analysts, business & financial journalists, and the wider stakeholder communities that influence them.
The Corporate & Financial Awards have been running since 2012. Now in 2013, its second year running, the awards were distributed at a gala dinner at The Victory Services Club, London and were hosted by financial analyst at CooperCity, Louise Cooper.
Andrew Thomas, publishing editor of Communicate magazine, said: "Companies don't just need to talk to the city; they also need to talk to those who influence the city. The Corporate & Financial Awards is the only awards event that focuses on both investor relations and financial media relations. This is the second year, and we have more entrants, a stronger shortlist, and more attendees celebrating excellence in corporate and financial communications."
