Wounded Warrior Project Appoints Interim Chief Operating Officer
Major General Charlie Fletcher Brings Extensive Military, Non-Profit and Private Sector Experience to WWP
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) Board of Directors announced today the appointment of Major General Charlie Fletcher, USA Retired, to the position of interim Chief Operating Officer effective immediately. Maj. Gen. Fletcher is currently a logistics senior mentor to NATO and serves on WWP's Advisory Council. He brings more than 30 years of experience in military aviation, logistics, and operational assignments, in addition to significant senior-level management experience to WWP.
Maj. Gen. Fletcher will serve as the senior-most member of the leadership team based at WWP's headquarters in Jacksonville. He will oversee the organization's day-to-day operations and focus on enhancing WWP's governance structure, policies, controls and compliance functions. Maj. Gen. Fletcher will report directly to Anthony Odierno, Chairman of the WWP Board.
